R.DORSEY+COMPANY (RD+), a Columbus-based technology consultancy founded in 1996, continues to strengthen its senior consulting staff with the appointment of William "Iggy" Galli to head the firm's Data Services Group. "Iggy is a seasoned IT professional that we've known and respected for decades, " says Bob Dorsey, the firms President and visionary leader. "We tapped him to serve as a part of our leadership team that is focused on significant growth during our second decade beginning in 2006, " says Bob.
As Director of the Data Services Group, Iggy will provide the strong technical and business leadership needed to expand its client portfolio, further enhance customer service, streamline operations, and launch new services designed to strengthen top and bottom-line revenues. The business focus for Iggy will be to expand the group's Network and Infrastructure Assessment Consultancy along with its Network Administration and Management Programs. Both service areas are in demand as companies outgrow technology infrastructures and outsourcing alternatives gain acceptance. These foundational services will be leveraged with innovative products designed to better meet customer needs while providing reoccurring revenues for the firm.
Iggy has been instrumental in technology enterprises and projects that have helped to define the Columbus Technology Community. While at CompuServe, he served as the Director of the H&R Block application development where he managed the project that brought electronic tax preparation and filing of returns from concept to reality and helped them to spread the service world-wide. Also at CompuServe, he was the Director of Computer Room Operations where he oversaw the effort to bring over 2,000 servers, across three locations, under a centralized management process.
